Cass Cannon's mother, Peg, created a seasoned salt in the 1970s in Ohio and gave it away to friends and family throughout her life. Once people tried some, they didn't want to cook without it because the salt mix enhances flavor without making foods taste alike. Peg's Salt launched in October 2012 and it is now a household staple in thousands of homes. Every batch of Peg's Salt is hand-mixed in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Production is supported by Vector Industries, a nonprofit organization that employs disabled workers in a variety of ways.
